Our Story

A Story of Women, A Ritual of Jewelry.

Born from a deep desire to create and share stories with the world through jewelry, Jules Greeneisen created Gather Brooklyn, a demi-fine jewelry brand for strong, creative women. With ten years of experience in New York’s fashion jewelry industry, Jules developed ways to design jewelry more sustainably and prioritize ethical business practices. Gather supplies an arsenal of jewelry that is comfortable and meaningful to wear, grounded in the concept that jewelry is ritual. To amplify women’s voices, we host free  women’s gatherings online. Gather is based in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley, with a community gathering worldwide.

A Letter from Jules

Hello Beautiful Women,

When I started Gather, I thought a lot about my grandmothers and the beautiful pieces I’d inherited from them. As a jewelry designer, these pieces meant so much to me, yet I knew I wanted strong pieces that were all my own. I wanted it to be my choice. For me, Gather is a place where I get to share my designs and come together with like-minded women. Beautiful, strong women who know who they are and their sense of worth.
I want to design for you
For me, jewelry is important to my daily rituals. When I choose a piece at the beginning of the day, it reflects how I feel, or even how I want to feel that day. At the end of the day when I take off my jewelry, there’s a sense of release -- shedding the days moments and emotions. For me, jewelry is ritual, and the rituals we create are deeply rooted in our sense of self. This is worth celebrating, and I hope you’ll Gather alongside me in this space. I look forward to creating a sense of community and sisterhood with you. Please bring your thoughts and creations forward, I’m interested in your world!
Shared with Love,

When women come together to celebrate each other, magical things happen. At Gather, we seek to unite women by honoring what makes us different, what makes us unique. We celebrate your individuality, your creativity, your vision, and your strengths. This is a community for connection, fun, and support to help each other thrive.

Join us as in Sisterhood as an ambassador! Spread the word and receive special gifts, secret sales and other perks. We're always welcoming new friends!

Quality & Care

Our demi-fine jewelry is made to last when treated with care.

All of our jewelry is made of quality brass, either plated in 12Kt gold or sterling silver. We’ve used 3 microns of plating to prolong the life - that’s much thicker than industry standard!

All earring posts are made from Sterling Silver, naturally hypoallergenic and nickel free.

Comfort Earring Backs come with every posted pair of earrings. The domed brass backs with silicone inserts were designed to increase comfort. They fit securely on the posts without irritating the backs of your ears and protect your neck when you’re on the phone. We’re obsessed!

Our line is size inclusive - Our necklaces come with 2” extender chains, so you can adjust the chain to the length of your choice. Our bracelets are also size adjustable, from 6.5” - 7.5” in original size. Adjustable bracelets expand to 8.75”

We extend or shorten lengths upon request at no cost - Jewelry doesn’t fit everyone the same way! We want you to feel strong and confident when you wear our pieces. We want you to feel like YOU. Simply add the request in a note to your order at checkout.

How to Care for Your Gather Brooklyn Jewelry:

  • To refresh the shine, give your piece a gentle wipe with a polishing cloth or some mild soapy water. As all metal tarnishes when it’s exposed to air, a simple wipe on the regular maintains the color of gold or silver.
  • Remove your jewelry before exercise or taking a shower. Gold, silver, and brass are all soft metals that can wear faster when there’s too much moisture or friction involved. It’s a good idea to remove them before bed too.
  • Store your pieces in our packaging. The post-consumer poly bag and linen pouch will help prolong color and shine.

Sustainability Plan

  • Minimal Impact Practices ~

By handling each step of the process from design to production, we’re able to keep a low impact system in place. Our global shipping practices are consolidated for fewer emissions. Finishing products & shipping directly from our Brooklyn workshop make the delivery of your order the most efficient possible.

  • Ethical Sourcing & Manufacturing ~

We work directly with a small number of global workshops to ensure the best social & environmental practices are followed. By sourcing materials in bulk, we assemble in Brooklyn, NYC to greatly reduce the waste that happens in traditional factory settings. Whenever possible, we use recycled or overstocked materials to prevent waste from going to landfills.

  • Post Consumer & Recyclable Packaging ~

All of our packaging is intentionally designed to be sustainable. All paper materials inside your order are made of seed paper, to be planted and regrow as wildflowers in the earth. Our cotton pouches are sustainably produced in India. Our polybags are post consumer, as are the bubble mailers we ship in. Reduce ~  Reuse ~ Recycle in motion!

  • People First Inclusivity  ~

Our community is so important to our process. We aim to be an exemplary  partner, mentor, and employer- an environment that empowers each person to succeed. We are building a community of women who support each other to grow!

All of our jewelry is designed to be size inclusive! Lengths are adjustable on all necklaces and bracelets. Every design is carefully created to look good on every body.
